The chief executive officer of the biggest crypto platform in the industry Binance, CZ has been in public talks on Twitter with the co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin in that a new blockchain-based voting system in the United States is necessary to improve the democratic process of elections.

Even though this sounds great on paper, it wouldn’t be as easy as people would think.

CZ took to Twitter to say that now is the correct time for developers to build a “blockchain-based mobile voting up“. This came after the uncertainty that is currently going on with the 2020 US presidential election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

The argument that the CEO made was that such a voting system could reduce the time taken to confirm the outcome of the election as well as enhancing the privacy of individual voters.

CZ went on to encourage developers to begin working on such a project because not only would privacy be a key aspect of it but it would eliminate questions surrounding how valid the results are.

    On Twitter, he said:

Develop something now, get it approved (obviously hardest step), and get 300 million plus (fully KYC'ed) users in 4 years time. Any capable developer should be willing to do it "for free".

Responding to the tweet, the co-founder of Ethereum added that even though this is an ideal project to think about, it isn’t going to be an easy task as he said:

The technical challenges with making a secure cryptographic voting system are significant (and often underestimated), but IMO this is directionally 100% correct.

This goes in line with what the head of Cardano recently said, Charles Hoskinson. In an interview with CT, he indicated that a Cardano based solution could make a blockchain solution possible for future elections.
