Just got a Twitter update that Vite will be listed on Bittrex. Great news, guys

One of the biggest irony of crypto today is that though crypto is aiming to introduce decentralizaton in all spheres of life, the major crypto exchanges today are completely centralized. Agreed, trading of crypto-currencies might not have been Nakamoto's vision. But as things stand today, with governments turning hostile and crypto-fiat options not available always, these exchanges end up being the only means to procure tokens of your favourite projects.

Binance, Huobi, Bittrex and other similar exchanges might have the best of intentions at heart, but at the end of the day, users have to trust someone else with their assets. Remember Mt Gox and how many bitcoins were robbed away? With centralized exchanges, one can never really be sure as to how safe his/her hard earned money is. A few decentralized exchanges have come up recently, with Idex and Switcheo leading the way. However, the user experience in these exchanges is unsatisfactory. Order matching takes time, even if you are trying to fill an existing order. And liquidity is poor. Moreover, a lot of these decentralized exchanges are actually semi-decentralized.

Vite is promising to solve all these problems with ViteX, their new decentralized exchange. This will run on Vite's own blockchain (Vite Chain), and order matching will be solely done through smart contracts. If Vite's test net is any indication, then the order matching speed will be no less than any centralized exchange. Apart from high throughput, zero transaction cost and cross-chain gateway are other features than will enhance the user experience. Vite, BTC, Eth and USDT trading pairs would be available to begin with.

Moreover, Vite will introduce the ViteX (VX) token, and all transaction fees and other income generated by ViteX will be distributed to holders of VX tokens. There is no plan of having any pre or public sale for VX, and VX can be earned only by mining. In this case, mining means confirming transactions on ViteX. Trading on ViteX would also entitle one to VX tokens. Listing new tokens is another way of earning VX tokens, but that's not for the ordinary trader I believe.

Vite is rushing past all the milestones in their roadmap at break-neck speed. As an extremely satisfied user of Vite's Android wallet, I'm really looking forward to ViteX. It would be quite interesting to see how ViteX competes with Binance's forthcoming DEX. But going by my experience of having used Vite products, the competition will be really fierce, and us users will end up being the winners.

I had been tracking Vite for quite some time, but my first tryst with Vite testnet happened only when I participated in one of their quizes. In the quiz, we had to send VTT (Vite test token) alongwith the answer in comments. Once I went past the hurdle of creating my own account and wallet, the first thing that struck me was how beautiful and aethestic the interface was. No silly cluttering with unncessary buttons - just keeping it nice and clean.

The transactions were extremely rapid too. I didn't have any Vite to stake to begin with, but a simple PoW process was all that was required to make any transaction. Later on, I have sent actual Vite testnet tokens and VCP too, and these transactions are as fast as the Vite test tokens. Sending tokens to friends is exetremely easy - enter their address or scan the QR code, run a short PoW algo, and tada !

The test net also provides information about registering and voting for SBPs, staking of Vite tokens, and so forth. The Vite team seems to be constantly working on adding new features to the test net. And they are engaging with the community quite often through this forum, which is something I have come to appreciate lately.

Vite recently launched mobile versions of their test net. I am an Android user, and while the Android app was not completely bug free, I will not focus on the problems here, as any new product is bound to have some issues. In fact, Vite has done a hell of a job in the first attempt. Similar to the web wallet, the mobile version has been kept very simple and functional. Transfer of tokens is fast, secure and reliable. I'm sure that the issues will be fixed shortly, and new features will be added to make the wallet's use more interesting.

Here's hoping that the Vite team goes from strength to strength. I am specially looking forward to their DEX. We crypto lovers deserve a better DEX than what Idex or Forkdelta offers us now

There is no option to get Vite test tokens in the wallet

Vite has just made my Christmas an extra bit special ^_^ A verrrry Merry Xmas to all Vite community members and the entire team behind Vite. Hope the greenery that Santa brought to the crypto market today stays for a while.

In Address Management, there is no indicator to tell me which address I have imported, and which has generated by the app. While not a bug necessarily, it can lead to confusion. It would be useful if we could also put remarks next to addresses.

In the attached image, the first address is one that I imported, and the others seem to be generated by the app.

But isn't the new year like 7 days later ???

There is no option to search for Vite, VTT and VCP on the Transactions tab. There is no option to search by address either. These features would help a lot.

So this might be a major bug. In the Transaction tab, when I scroll down towards the end, the same transaction keeps on repeating again and again. You can see this in the attached screenshot.
