    • My Testnet Experience

      Hi guys,

I first came across VITE only a couple of months ago - I regularly check out ICOs and how they have performed. VITE definitely grabbed my attention and I soon started watching reviews of the ICO.

The DAG architecture and the full compatibility with the EVM are what drew me to VITE the most.

First impressions were really good - working product and a community already.

Signed up for the Web wallet and started my own Node under Ubuntu. All ran very smoothly.

I didn't own any ERC20 tokens but I have done numerous token swaps and VITE definitely has one of the easiest swap (in the web wallet).

I used the Faucet to get some VTT tokens.

I have been a part of the Full node reward program since it started and have been earning a nice amount of tokens. With my VITE tokens I have been voting for the VITE SBP to earn some more each day.

I have had sync problems however lately - my nodes ran fine for a long time and in the last week stopped syncing properly. I see some posts about this and intend to read them now that I have joined the forum.

Overall very impressed with the progress and looking forward to mainnet.

    • VITE block Explorer

      Hey guys,

Loving the project so far. One thing though - the block explorer, it would be handy to have an amount column for the transaction screen rather than having to dig into each one to find out the amount.

      Thanks

    • Question regarding capturing market share

      Hi guys,

My question is what is VITE's strategy to capture developers, community and therefore market share from other platforms such as ethereum.

As a whole I am impressed with the project and feel VITE could get some traction in the future - considering it is fully compatible with ethereum and potentially solves a number of issues ethereum faces.

I must add the Snap Secure site was invaluable for information.

Yep sorry - the scrolling to see the amount.

I realise this probably would look different depending on resolution etc, but imo the amount is important for a transaction.

Maybe the list could be simplified and remove the 'snapshotted by' column for example.

    • Full Node Rewards

      Hey guys,

Just a note about the full node rewards - when upgrading from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 the system appears to register my node as a new one even though I use the same name.

This can be problematic when trying to maintain the 90% uptime when my 1.2.1 node has 60% uptime and now my 1.2.2 can only get 40%.

Not sure if this was the case with earlier versions but just thought I would raise it.

The ideal time if you don't want to lose rewards is to upgrade just after the rollover each day!

    • RE: [Important] Gvite v1.2.1 Release Announcement

      Updated successfully no issues.

Peer discovery appears to be a lot better and my block propagation latency is much lower

    • RE: Node syncing bug

Tried restarting numerous times and also even cleared the downloaded chain.

I seem to get zero peers. Almost like I am on a block list. I have managed to get one node to sync again - deleted the chain and it managed to redownload.

My second node (different WAN IP) I am trying again.

    • RE: Node syncing bug

I also have this issue of zero peers. 2 Nodes were running quite smoothly and then just stopped one day. Can provide logs if needed.
